Michael Feit, J.D., President & Founder
Michael founded Feit Consulting over 18 years ago. Previously with Westlaw for over 10 years, his last position in Large Law Strategy, Michael fully understands the demands of vendors and the needs of clients. Michael founded Feit Consulting to help firms develop a strategy for controlling legal information costs effectively. Over time his focus has expanded to include a holistic library operation review.
With Feit Consulting’s recent entry into Contemporary Library Solutions Feit has truly emerged as a thought leader in all aspects of managing legal information. Contemporary Library Solutions helps firms improve their return on their legal information investment by comparing and contrasting the firm’s existing library with other best-practices in the market. Michael has written several books and whitepapers on legal information and frequently shares his thoughts through his blog.
Alex West, M.B.A., Senior Vice President
As Senior Vice President, Alex guides client interaction and strategic direction for the Advising group at Feit Consulting. With an extensive corporate background in management and marketing at Fortune 500 companies such as Sara Lee, Hasbro and P&G, Alex oversees all Feit client engagements. With Feit Consulting's analytics and deep knowledge base in the legal information market, Alex optimizes customer experiences with strategies tailored to each Firm's individual needs.
Katie Leonard, Vice President, Information Management Services
Katie Leonard is an accomplished information management professional with over twenty years of experience working for some of the world’s largest SaaS, professional services, and managed services companies including Sidley Austin and a 12+ year tenure at Thomson Reuters as the Librarian Relations Manager. Katie’s exceptional expertise in library services and information management operations helps her advise law firms to successfully navigate complex situations. With a strong background in workflow automation, spend management, data analytics and user experience, she helps law firms as a trusted partner to modernize and streamline their library and information workflow operations to run more efficiently and cost-effectively.
Stuart Zimmerman, Law Library Consultant
Stuart provides strategic input on library and research services in large law firms with a focus on library audits, the development of best practices for the delivery of library services, and the implementation of new generations of digital resources for research and library administration. Stuart brings more than 25 years of law library experience both in law firms and public law libraries. Prior to joining Feit Consulting, Stuart was Director of Research and Information Services for Davis Wright Tremaine LLP where he transformed a patchwork of individual law office libraries into a coordinated, efficient, contemporary, firm-wide library system providing high-quality research and library services across nine offices.
Becky Bowman, Law Library Consultant
Becky served as the Chief Research and Information Analysis Officer for Am Law 100 firm, Baker Donelson for 32 years where she ultimately led a team of 5 to serve 750+ attorneys across 23 domestic locations. Becky's accomplishments at Baker were multiple, including transforming the library from print to digital, overseeing the efficient combination of 15 mergers and acquisitions of library materials, and successfully rebranding her department, and achieving buy-in from key stakeholders. Her exceptional experience is invaluable for clients as they assess the actual total cost and value of their library and research department including current print and digital collections, vendor contracts, as well as consider cultural and workflow disruptions or benefits in moving to an outsourcing vendor.
Rod Mazure, Senior Consultant
As Senior Consultant, Rod Mazure brings an exceptional understanding of the information needs of both large law firms and corporate legal departments. Since earning his law degree, Rod has dedicated his career to helping his clients evaluate and implement legal research and legal workforce solutions. Rod has held senior positions at some of the industry’s most prominent legal research providers, including tenures at Thomson Reuters and Bloomberg BNA, which give Rod keen industry insight and hands-on expertise in solving the information challenges facing both Am Law 200 law firms and Fortune 1000 corporate legal departments.
